I use to buy an imported French (sweet) white wine named "Cadillac", is it still available?
Cadillac sweet wines are still available but indeed they are pretty hard to find.
Only 50 wineries produce Cadillac wine.
Cadillac is an appellation (wine grade) South-East of Bordeaux close to Barsac and Sauternes.
Most of Cadillac are sweet white wine, but red and dry white wine are also available under the Bordeaux Superieur appellation.
You can try to find a Cadillac wine through one of the established wineries in the appellation : Chateau Carsin, Chateau Cayla, Chateau Fayau, Chateau du Juge...or through a village's name : Cadillac, Langoiran, Gabarnac, Rions...
Cadillac gave its name to the famous american car ! Detroit city was founded by Sir Lamothe-Cadillac, a local landlord.
