What is better ? 2004 or 2005 of Domaine of Romanée Conti ?

It is of course too early to give a definitive judgment. These wines will reach their full potential in 2020 and even later !

Although 2005 is generally a better vintage in Burgundy than 2004, it seems that the people at Romanée Conti managed to get the best out of the grapes in 2004.

2005 vintage is slightly better than 2004 though, specially for red wine in Burgundy, such as Romanée Conti.

2004 is a great vintage for Romanée Conti but production was lower than usual and therefore price gets steeper. They will be hard to find.

2005 is also a very good vintage but this time production level is better. Therefore, although price is still expensive, Romanée Conti will be easier to find.

Romanée Conti is one of the best winery in France, located in Burgundy, and offering some of the finest wines in the world.
