There are now two wines in the A category, the two best wineries in Saint Emilion : Cheval Blanc and Ausone. There are 14 wines in the B category such as Canon, Figeac and Angelus. The A and the B categories can be considered as First Great Growth wines. The others are just Great Growth wines. There are 46 grands crus (great growth wines).
